(TORONTO, ON) January 19, 2023 -- The Toronto Beaches organization today is excited to announce an affiliate partnership with the Junior B Owen Sound Northstars

"We are thrilled to announce our affiliation with Owen Sound," Beaches Head Coach Reilly O'Connor said. "They have a proven track record of developing talent over the years. We feel this can be a mutually beneficial partnership for years to come." 

The Northstars have existed since 1973, starting as a Junior C club before making the jump to Junior B due to a merger in 1980.

Earlier this week, the Northstars named Beaches graduate Ethan Woods as their general manager. 

"The opportunity to partner with the Beaches presents an incredible opportunity for our players. The Beaches organization is first-class and has incredible leadership with Reid and Reilly," Woods said. "This partnership provides our players with the opportunity to play at the next level and be part of an organization that, like ours, has the player's best interests in mind”

Along with the addition of the Northstars as an affiliate, the Beaches will also be continuing their partnership with the West Durham Ironheads, who have helped develop future Beaches and professional lacrosse players.
