(TORONTO, ON) September 19, 2022 -- The Toronto Beaches today announced that Peyton Booth ('06) has committed to playing for the team in 2023.
"Peyton is a dynamic and well-rounded player that we are excited to add to our O door," Beaches head coach Reilly O'Connor said. "He has a good background in the box game and is a very coachable kid. We believe he will fit in extremely well as he has a tremendous work ethic and strong character."
A Charlottesville, Virginia native, Booth has impressed in both the box and field games, becoming a standout attackman at St. Anne's-Belfield School while also representing his country on the international stage indoors.
Booth made the Varsity lacrosse team at STAB as an eighth grader. This past season, he scored 60 goals and added 42 assists for 102 points, becoming just the second-ever sophomore to hit the 100-plus point plateau.
"Getting the opportunity to play for an organization such as the Beaches is an amazing opportunity," said Booth. "I’m so thankful for getting to be able to play and learn from Coach O’Connor. It was something I couldn’t get anywhere else. The community in Toronto was also something that is so special, and being able to fight for a Minto for summers to come is super exciting for me."
Booth is heading into his Junior season at STAB. He has also just committed to playing his collegiate lacrosse at Cornell University, where he will pair up with now Beaches teammate Willem Firth.
The Beaches are extremely excited to welcome Peyton to the Family as we look ahead to another exciting season in 2023.
